“Winning first prize at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, this corset is an excellent representation of the shape of the period. With the bustle skirt and emphasis at back, the bodice took on the cuirass shape, flattening the torso. Unique in its choice of materials, the boning of this corset is made entirely of cord.”
