Slut shaming

Women of the world, please for all that is good, STOP DOING IT.

Stop calling a woman who is confident in her sexuality a whore.

Stop assuming a woman with children by multiple fathers is a slut.

Stop judging the character of a woman based on how tight her dress is.

Stop thinking that just because a lady has a date with one man tonight and another tomorrow that she is a ho.

Stop lumping your own people into the inane Madonna/whore caricatures that the media and corporations have made billions off of.

Stop tearing other women down because of your own half ass insecurities and ideas of how we’re suppose to behave.

Now, clearly my post isn’t exclusive to men (any man who feels as strongly as I do was raised right), but it saddens me deeply to see women tearing other women down. You owe it to yourself, to your daughters, to your friends, to your mothers, to all the women who had to fight for our right to vote to think independent, clearly, and unbiasedly.There was a time when we were sold off for the biggest chunk of land. We couldn’t convey our ideas, had no control of our bodies, had no say in our government, and our only value was as baby dispensers! Every time you belittle a woman for simply doing what she feels works for her, you set us back.

Do take the opportunity to reserve judgment of a woman by getting to know her.

Do assume that any woman who enjoys being sexual has great confidence in herself and strive to ascertain a similar level of confidence for yourself.

Do define yourself by what makes YOU happy rather than what people think should make you happy.

Do call another woman out when you hear the words slut, whore, ho comes out her mouth by telling her she’s perpetuating a viscous cycle.

Do pass this on in the hopes that maybe ONE person who reads it will stop, think, process, and absorb this information. Even if it’s only one person who changes their perception of how to view women, it’s still one more on OUR side.
